Now That You've Applied Your False Lashes, How the Heck Do You Remove Them? - Makeup and Beauty Blog

OK, permit'south say nosotros've put our false lashes on, partied similar rock stars, and now it's time to get ready for bed.
What now? How exercise we actually remove the darned things?

Well, I have a confession… I'g totally guilty of just ripping those suckers off, more often than not with pairs that felt heavy or uncomfortable for some reason, and I JUST COULD Non TAKE IT ANYMORE.
I've actually washed this more times than I can count (fifty-fifty though I knew it was terribly unwise). Once information technology was halfway through a fancy political party. Mid-mingling I suddenly said, "Delight excuse me for a moment. I demand to remove these false lashes because they're driving me completely insane."
Ripping those bad boys off is quick (rrrrrrip!), but it's also risky. Y'all could, and probably will, tear out some of your natural lashes with the falsies, and when you barely have whatever lashes to showtime with (like me), that's ill-advised.
Back to that political party I mentioned…
Luckily, being a makeup hoarding packrat, I had a tube of mascara and a lash curler in my bag, so I plopped a few coats on in the bathroom.
Crisis averted.
Now, when I'm in my right listen, here's how I like to remove my lashes…
Removing False Lashes: Step By Stride
- Grab a makeup wipe, or a cotton pad soaked with eye makeup remover. Ideally information technology should be something that tin handle real-deal waterproof mascara and liner. I really like MAC Wipes ($20 for a pack of 45) for this or a cotton pad saturated with Clinique Accept the Day Off Makeup Remover For Lids, Lashes & Lips ($18).
- Close your eyes, and gently printing and hold the makeup wipe or cotton pad against your lashes and false lashes. Permit that sit there for a minute or two, perhaps 3, if you used a lot of mucilage on the lash ring.
The idea is to give the makeup remover time to intermission down the glue.
- Subsequently your lashes and falsies have thoroughly soaked up the remover, they should slip right off without any resistance. I usually start pulling them off from the outer corner, since those lashes are usually the longest, and gently lift upward the ring.
That'southward it!
The ultimate in crazy cat lady-ness

I am totally and completely serious when I say that I want a pink cat stroller for my birthday. 🙂
Haha! I'm not sure if pinkish is Tabs' best color (he prefers jewel tones), only that would probably be the least of my worries. I don't even know if I could get him into one.
Maybe with a lot of gravy and treats… Food bribery goes a long mode.
Come make clean, cat ladies (and domestic dog ladies). Have you always wanted something like this? And does anyone out there actually take i (there's no shame)? Inquiring minds want to know.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
P.S. Boy, this week has flown by! I can't believe tomorrow is already Fri. I hope you've been having a good calendar week.
